  As many reviewers have said, this is a bucket list to do experience & we have no regrets at all. We were blessed with perfect weather. The Reefsuite is just like the photos, mesmerizing, staff great especially Ben, food great. My husband scuba-dived for the 1st time & loved it so much he did it again the next day. Book today, you won't regret it

  Amazing experience. Highly recommend. Food was amazing thanks to their awesome chef Raffael. All the crew were lovely but our host Kass was amazing. We recently got engaged and she set up a “underwater” dinner for us to celebrate, they go above and beyond to make your experience the best.

  This experience has been on our bucket list since the concept was first proposed. When my daughter rang and indicated that she and her husband would also like to do it we took the plunge and booked the two suites straight away for a Saturday in May. The whole experience was as memorable as we expected and is highly recommended. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful and are a credit to the organisation. The only minor criticisms are in relation to the food and the maintenance of the pontoon. The menu was not very exciting and the food was not served hot which I found disappointing, in fact the evening meal was hardly warm. Breakfast was a slice of toast with avocado spread and an egg. Food was not a consideration on deciding to book the trip but for the money I expected better. The maintenance problem relates to a platform outside one suite which was unable to be raised. During our stay the wind blew quite hard through the night creating waves which would strike the underside of the platform causing a loud metallic clang which was impossible to sleep through. The view through the window was such that there was always something to see through the night.

  We have traveled a lot, both internationally and domestic. We had the most amazing 2 day experience in our Reef Suite but that is definitely not down playing the Reef Sleep. We could not possibly find anything to complain about if we tried. The staff, food, free drinks, the pontoon, the service and OMG the underwater room. Waitlist to try and and get one. It worked for us.

  This was a surprise experience for my girlfriend and her reaction walking into the room was priceless. The room, the staff, the food, the views made it the perfect spot for me to propose to her at sunset. We will never forget this place.

  Highly recommend the reef suite experience to everyone. From the moment we checked in we were treated like VIPs. ALL of the crew who worked on the pontoon were amazing, from the scuba crew to the maintenance team, but a huge thank you goes out to Sophie and Luke who went out of their way to ensure we all had a great time, they really made a difference to our experience and were very personable. Our suite for the night was magical with the only downside of the whole trip being a lack of sleep because we just couldn’t take our eyes off all the fish at night. The beds were very comfortable and amenities covered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We definitely didn’t go hungry, eating 5 star food the whole time. If you are wondering if it’s worth the money, just like we were, boom it as it absolutely is and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

  Absolutely incredible experience. I don't know how but it actually exceeded my expectations. You really can't put into words what it's like to sleep underwater with the fish and turtles. Compared to other places in the world this was a very affordable experience and if you're thinking about going I recommend 100% that you do it! I want to thank Leah our host who was very beautiful and provided us with excellent customer service and hospitality. She deserves a promotion! The chef's food was excellent too and he came to say hello and see how we were which was nice. The snorkelling was absolutely unreal. I feel really sad just thinking about how I'm not there anymore. The coral is amazing the reef is amazing the fishies are plenty and then there were so many turtles too! The reef trip on the ferry boat there is 3 hrs and it actually goes pretty fast. There was a lovely senior staff woman with long blonde curly hair who was absolutely very nice and fun and provided excellent customer service. Also a young man with brown hair. However that's where the compliments end. To management I would like to say thank you for an incredible stay and trip that my friend and I will cherish forever. I am sorry to have to add, there was quite a few young staff on the boat to and from the reef that were less than amiable. One girl did not smile at all and when she came over to us actually made us feel uncomfortable because she looked so angry. And this was both on the way there and back with 2 days in between. There were other young boys that were also unhelpful when we asked questions and just looked like they didn't want to be there. After experiencing such good service from the Leah and the other 2 staff members it was a real contrast to see the younger staff blatantly not care. I did not want to tarnish this review in regards to the experience but just wanted to pass along to management that maybe those staff need some training.

  My husband and I were blown away by the experience. Snorkeling and seeing a groper hang out near our room was definitely memorable. Staff were super friendly and assisted our snorkels. Special thanks to Michelle for the hospitality and Sebastian the absolutely amazing chef who overfed us!

  We have traveled many places around the world and had lots of wonderful unusual experiences and I would rate this as one or the best. Just awesome laying in bed and looking at the marine life swim by day and night. Food was top class and nothing was too much trouble for the staff especially Sophie who catered for our every need. The dive staff were amazing and very calm and patient. We also did the joy flight over the reef and Heart Island.

  Our Reefsuite experience was the best thing I have ever done in my life. My partner and I came to Airlie Beach for a getaway. After the boat ride to the pontoon, we were treated to some snorkelling amongst the reef, and a buffet-style lunch. After the day-guests left, we were able to experience the whole reef with a small group of other guests. Little did I know, my partner surprised me with an upgrade from the ReefSLEEP to the ReefSUITE experience. In addition to this surprise, he had all the staff on the pontoon get together to help him surprise me with a PROPOSAL. (And of course, I said YES). We enjoyed dinner after the proposal with the other awesome guests. Amazing atmosphere, sitting together talking about where we're all from, eating gourmet restaurant-quality food and enjoying wine while watching the sun set. It is well-worth booking this 2-day experience to enjoy the reef and all it has to offer, without all the day-guests. We sat up late and watched the fish through our Reefsuite windows for hours. It was really extra special and absolutely mesmerising to see their behaviour change as the day / night went on. The next day included a beautiful breakfast, two scuba dives (since we loved our intro dive so much, we booked a second one!), delicious gourmet lunch. A HUGE thankyou to Luke, who was the main man helping my partner put this surprise together, and to all the staff that were involved in helping such a special time in our lives really come to life. We will absolutely be back to see the staff and enjoy the reef again. You'll never ever experience anything like this anywhere else in the world.
